So I was unable to resist the temptation
I bit from the apple and...
I wouldn't say I was cast out of the Garden of Eden
More like suspended.
The taste of the fruit brought back memories even sweeter
Nostalgia that appealed to all five senses
Breathing and beating, synchronizing.
Proof of resilience!
Those few hours of freedom
How precious
Not to be bound by rules or morals
Ties nor obligations
There was nothing wrong with it
It felt perfect
It was however, illusory
And illusions are by their nature sweet.
However right it felt to be on the other side of the wall
I know I belong in that garden
that wretched garden where the self-righteous preside.
Hypocrites.
Why?
It was though, so perfect...like your poem.
I can't feel your hand on mine because it is mine.
